Part A: Introduction
- Use and Interpretation:
The General Rules lay the groundwork for all bets placed on HeyBaji. They outline the basic principles and procedures that guide the platform’s operation and user interaction. Users must also consult the Market Information and Specific Sports Rules for more details and guidance. - User Responsibility:
HeyBaji stresses the importance of informed and responsible participation. Users are expected to:
- Actively read and understand the General Rules, Market Information, and any relevant Specific Sports Rules before placing bets. This understanding helps minimize confusion and unintended actions.
- Not rely solely on Market Information. While Market Information is valuable, it may not cover all applicable rules for a particular market. Users should prioritize the General and Specific Sports Rules for a complete picture.
- Market Suspension:
HeyBaji reserves the right to suspend any market at its discretion for various reasons, including:
- Administrative functions: Ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of the platform.
- User protection: Addressing circumstances that might compromise user safety or fair play.
- Suspicious Activity and Consequences:
HeyBaji is dedicated to upholding fair play and preventing any activity that undermines the platform’s integrity. The platform actively monitors for and takes action against accounts suspected of engaging in suspicious activities, including:
- Frequent IP address changes: Using VPNs or other methods to frequently change IP addresses is prohibited.
- Multiple account creation: Creating and using multiple HeyBaji accounts simultaneously is against the platform’s terms and conditions.
- Financial irregularities: Transferring funds between accounts, self-matching bets, or engaging in practices like “court siding” or “sharpening” are strictly forbidden.
- System abuse and exploitation: Any form of system abuse, including attempts to exploit loopholes, is prohibited.
- Match-fixing and commission-making: HeyBaji maintains a zero-tolerance policy for involvement in match-fixing or commission-making activities that seek to manipulate match outcomes for personal gain.
- User Dispute Resolution:
HeyBaji encourages open communication and aims to address user concerns promptly and fairly. Users are encouraged to contact HeyBaji immediately via available channels if they encounter issues regarding the Rules and Regulations, market settlements, or other related matters. Users should:
- Communicate promptly: Early communication allows for a quicker investigation and resolution process.
- Provide necessary details: Users are required to provide all necessary details, including specific dates, times, and relevant references, to facilitate a thorough investigation and effective resolution.
Part B: General Rules
- Managing Markets In-Play:
a) General:
Ensuring the smooth operation of in-play markets is crucial for maintaining the platform’s integrity. HeyBaji prioritizes fair play and transparency, establishing specific guidelines for managing markets in-play:- Non-scheduled market suspension: Markets are generally expected to suspend at a designated time to facilitate fair betting. If a market fails to suspend at the specified time, different rules apply depending on the event:
- For events other than horse racing and greyhound racing:
- If the event has a scheduled ‘off’ time, any bets matched after this time will be invalid.
- If the event lacks a scheduled ‘off’ time, reasonable efforts will be made to determine the actual ‘off’ time. All bets made after this time will be invalid.
- For horse racing and greyhound racing:
- If a market fails to suspend at the official ‘off’ time, all subsequent bets will be invalidated.
- For events other than horse racing and greyhound racing:
- Suspended market management: While HeyBaji aims to suspend in-play markets promptly at the start and end of an event, exact timing cannot be guaranteed.
- Broadcast delays: Users should understand that broadcasts labeled as “live” may have delays or be pre-recorded. Users should exercise caution and be aware of potential delays when placing in-play bets.
- Non-scheduled market suspension: Markets are generally expected to suspend at a designated time to facilitate fair betting. If a market fails to suspend at the specified time, different rules apply depending on the event:
- b) All Markets Except Soccer and Australian Markets – Non-Suspension at the Time of the ‘Off’: Specific rules govern markets other than soccer and Australian markets:
- Scheduled market suspension: Markets designated to turn in-play are expected to suspend at the time of the ‘off’ as indicated in the Market Information.
- Invalid bets: If a market fails to suspend at the scheduled ‘off’ time and unmatched bets are not canceled, all bets matched after this time will be invalid.
- Events without a scheduled ‘off’ time: If an event lacks a predetermined ‘off’ time, reasonable efforts will be made to determine the actual ‘off’ time. All bets made after this time will be invalid.
- Late market suspension: If a market intended to be turned in-play fails to suspend during the scheduled ‘off’ time but is intentionally turned in-play later during the event, all bets matched after the original ‘off’ time will stand.
- c) Soccer Markets (excluding Australian markets):
- Market suspension at kick-off: HeyBaji uses its best efforts to activate in-play markets for scheduled soccer matches at the designated kick-off time. They strive to suspend these markets upon the occurrence of significant events (“Material Events”) that could influence the betting outcome. However, HeyBaji does not guarantee market suspension and activation at the exact kick-off time.
- Market failure to suspend at kick-off:
- If a market scheduled for in-play fails to suspend at kick-off and remains inactive throughout the match, all bets placed after the scheduled kick-off time will be invalid.
- If a market is scheduled for in-play but fails to suspend at kick-off, becomes active later during the match:
- All bets placed after the scheduled kick-off time and before the first “Material Event” will be considered valid.
- If one or more “Material Events” occur, all bets placed between the first “Material Event” and the market activation will be declared invalid.
- Market suspension on occurrence of a Material Event: If HeyBaji fails to suspend the market in time for a “Material Event,” they reserve the right to void any unfairly matched bets until the “Material Event” has occurred. This voiding can occur during the event or retroactively after the game concludes.
- Definition of “Material Event”: Within these Exchange Rules, a “Material Event” signifies:
- A goal being scored.
- A penalty being awarded.
- A player being sent off.
- d) In-Play Australian Markets: For specifically designated Australian markets scheduled to turn in-play, the following applies:
- Market failure to suspend at “off” time:
- All bets placed after the scheduled “off” time and before the market turns in-play will be invalid.
- Event lacking a predetermined “off” time:
- Reasonable efforts will be made to determine the actual “off” time, and any bets placed after this time will be invalid.
- Results and Market Settlement:
a) General:
These rules apply to all markets offered on various events, unless stated otherwise in the Market Information and/or the Specific Sports Rules for a specific market.
- If the Market Information or Specific Sports Rules do not specify how the market will be settled, the market will be settled based on the official outcome of the event, as determined by the governing body concerned.
- If the official outcome is not available from the governing body, the outcome will be determined using information from independent sources (e.g., reputable media outlets or official websites). If new information that could affect the outcome comes into the public domain within 48 hours of the settlement, HeyBaji will decide whether to reinstate or resettle the market or wait for more information before deciding.
- Abandonments, Cancellations, and Postponements
Different markets and sports might have unique rules for cancellations, abandonments, and postponements, but in their absence, these guidelines are followed:
- a) Matches, Fixtures, Games, Individual Events, Races, etc.:
- If an event doesn’t finish within 3 days of its scheduled date, all related bets become invalid unless the market is unconditionally determined.
- b) Tournaments, Competitions, etc.:
- If an event doesn’t conclude within 3 days of its scheduled completion, bets are settled according to the official decision of the governing body, provided it is issued within 90 days.
- Without an official ruling within 90 days, all bets on related markets are invalid, except for unconditionally determined markets.
- If a partially settled event is canceled, those bets are reversed, and remaining bets become invalid.
- HeyBaji determines whether a market pertains to a match or a tournament with examples provided for clarity:
- Tournament: Europa League outright, Champions’ League Group outright, Top Premiership goal scorer, Tennis Tournament outright, Ashes Series outright winner, Golf tournament outright.
- Match: 72-hole Golf Match bet, 5-day Cricket Test Match, Motor Race (e.g., Grand Prix).
- Change of Venue
- Venue changes for sporting events are addressed to ensure fairness:
- Team Sports: If the venue is changed to the original away team’s home ground, all bets are invalid.
- Non-Team Sports: For other categories, if the venue changes, all bets remain valid.
- Surface Changes: Changes in the playing surface (e.g., hockey grass to Astroturf) do not affect the validity of bets.
- Periods of Time
- Betting on time periods in events requires clear guidelines:
- Event Duration Change: If the duration changes before the event starts, all bets are invalid.
- Stoppage or Injury Time: Events in stoppage time are attributed to the end of the regular period. For example, a goal in soccer stoppage time is considered at the end of the first half.
- Inclusion of Stoppage Time: Bets cover the entire regular time, including stoppage time, but exclude extra time and penalties.
- Interpretation of ‘Days’: References to days imply the end of the local day after the specified days. For instance, if a rugby match is on December 1st, the three-day completion deadline is 11:59:59 PM on December 4th.
- Match Bets
- Specific Sports Rules or Market Information might detail certain rules for match bets, but in their absence:
- Single-Event Match Bets: Settled based on the best score, time, or position.
- Incomplete Events: If no participants finish, all bets are void unless otherwise stated. If a participant starts but doesn’t finish, they are considered a loser if another competitor completes the event.
- Multi-Stage Competitions: Bets for progression are settled on who reaches the furthest stage or best score. Partial settlement after each round means disqualifications or changes later do not affect settled bets.
- Disqualification: Disqualified competitors are considered to have finished last among remaining participants.
- Non-Participation: If a competitor does not participate, all match bets on them are invalid.
- Abandonment/Shortening: If an event is abandoned or shortened and a competitor refuses to complete it for reasons other than withdrawal or disqualification, all bets are invalid except for those already unconditionally determined.
- “To Qualify” Markets
- These markets are settled based on whether the competitor meets the qualification criteria, regardless of their participation in the subsequent round or event.
- Disqualification/Changes: Markets are settled after the qualifying stage, and later disqualifications do not affect settlements.
Dead-Heat Rules
- If no specific rules are outlined, the following apply:
- Single-Event Dead-Heats: Stakes on winning selections are divided equally among all winners involved in the dead-heat.
- Dead-Heats in Multi-Stage Competitions: Competition rules determine progression or ranking for tied teams. Always check competition rules for specific details.
Exchange Multiples
- This section details regulations for Exchange Multiples:
- Scope and Applicability:
- Exchange Rules apply exclusively to Exchange Multiples, involving wagers with other customers rather than the house.
- An Exchange Multiple consists of individual legs, each a selection within a single event market.
- The exchange reserves the right to restrict or limit Exchange Multiples at its discretion.
- Multiples and Individual Sports Rules:
- Each leg within an Exchange Multiple follows specific Exchange Rules for the corresponding sport.
Exchange Starting Price (SP) Guidelines
- Definition and Characteristics: The Starting Price (SP) on the Exchange platform is a unique option, offering a dynamic alternative to traditional fixed-odds bets. Unlike preset odds, the SP is determined by balancing all SP bets and other Exchange bets when the market suspends at the start of the event. This results in a fluctuating SP based on real-time market activity.
- Fixed Odds and Calculation: Once set, the SP transforms into a fixed-odds bet. The odds for each selection are calculated by matching SP backers (those betting on a selection to win at the SP) and Exchange backers against SP layers (those offering to lay bets against a selection winning at the SP) and other Exchange layers. This ensures fairness by: • Benefiting SP backers: Including unmatched Exchange lay offers higher than the SP can raise the SP, offering better returns for SP backers. • Benefiting SP layers: Including unmatched Exchange back offers lower than the SP can lower the SP, providing a more advantageous outcome for SP layers. Including unmatched Exchange bets ensures that bets placed by other customers, which might have otherwise lapsed due to market suspension, are matched where possible.
- Representation and Accessibility: The SP is calculated to six decimal places but may be displayed in market view or result data with two decimal places, rounded as appropriate. For precise figures, users can click on the individual runner graph within the relevant market view to see the full SP for each selection.
- Contingency Scenarios and Reconciliation: If the platform is unavailable during an event or the SP reconciliation process faces unforeseen issues, the SP is calculated using all available data, potentially including broader betting activity. A licensed betting operator within the group can act as a risk counterparty for SP bets, ensuring a fair SP. Those assessing the SP must maintain transparency and avoid any personal or undisclosed involvement.
- Reconciliation Reversal and Impact on Bets: If the SP reconciliation process begins prematurely (e.g., due to an erroneous in-play switch for a horserace), an attempt is made to undo the reconciliation and ensure the SP is determined before the event starts. However, if reversal isn’t feasible, the SP may be based on the initial, possibly inaccurate, reconciliation. This affects various bet types: • SP bets (including SP limit bets), “At In-play: Take SP” bets, and “At In-play: Keep” bets revert to their pre-reconciliation status. • “At In-play: Cancel” bets remain canceled if unmatched during the reconciliation phase. If matched, they revert to unmatched status until reconciliation resumes.
- Unscheduled Reconciliation and Material Events: If the SP reconciliation process launches unscheduled (e.g., after the event starts) and identifies a material event, the SP is determined solely based on: • SP bets • Unmatched “At In-play: Take SP” bets when the market is suspended This ensures “At In-play: Take SP” bets matched after the “off” are excluded from reconciliation and deemed invalid. Additionally, SP bets placed after the “off” are invalidated. If no material event is found, all bets remain valid.
- SP “Each Way” Option: If available, an “SP each way” option is treated as two separate bets: • A win bet on the SP • A “to be placed” bet on the SP
- Unmatched Bets and SP Conversion: If unmatched bets are canceled before the market goes in-play, any associated selections chosen for “At In-play: Take SP” are automatically converted to SP bets and cannot be canceled once converted.
Placing a SP Bet:
- Selecting the ‘SP’ button in the market view allows two ways to qualify for an SP bet:
- Without setting a limit: Enter the stake for a back bet or join the liability for a lay bet, indicating the amount you’re prepared to lose if the selection wins.
- With a limit: Use the ‘Place SP odds limit’ option to set a minimum SP odd for a back bet or a maximum SP odd for a lay bet. Bets lapse if the SP is less than the minimum price demanded by the backer or longer than the maximum price demanded by the layer.
Please note:
- Non-runners not withdrawn until after the event can affect the matched price for SP back bets, potentially altering it below the lower limit demanded. This may also mean an SP lay bet request with the maximum odds requested cannot be matched even if odds on the selection, after post-race adjustment for the late non-runner, are below the maximum odds demanded.
- If an SP bet with an odds limit is requested, the minimum/maximum odds demanded can be shortened for a back bet or increased for a lay bet before the event begins. However, once placed, an SP bet request cannot necessarily be canceled. Adjustments to SP bets for non-runners are detailed below.
Unmatched Exchange Bets:
- Unmatched Exchange bets may be converted to SP bets at the start of the event or persist during the event (see ‘keep’ choice below). The liability for the SP bet will never exceed that of the Exchange bet, though the amount won on the SP lay bet may vary from what would have been earned if the Exchange bet had been matched based on the final SP.
Adjustments to SP Bet for Non-Runners:
- SP back bets: Stake and odds requested by the customer remain unchanged, but the SP odds limit option can minimize the SP odds considered.
- SP lay bets: Customer’s risk is reduced based on the reduction factor(s) of non-runners to ensure balance between backer’s stakes and layer’s liability reflects the revised market after elimination of the runner. If a non-runner has a reduction factor of at least 2.5%, the maximum odds limit specified would be reduced accordingly.
Part C – Sресіfіс Sроrtѕ Rulеѕ
- Cricket
General:
- These rules are for all cricket competitions, series, and matches unless there are specific rules or market info for a particular event.
- If no ball is bowled during any event, all bets are void except those settled unconditionally (like the ‘Completed Match’ market, which is settled as soon as the match starts).
- If the match is shortened or interrupted for reasons like weather, all bets will be settled based on the official result (including limited overs matches decided by methods like DLS or other methods used by the governing body).
- If the match is decided by a bowl-off or a coin toss, all bets are void except those already settled unconditionally (e.g., the ‘To Win Toss’ market settles as soon as the toss is done).
Test Matches:
- These rules apply to all test matches unless other rules are stated for a specific market.
- If a match starts but is abandoned for reasons other than weather (like pitch issues, crowd disturbances, or acts of God), all bets may be canceled, even those that have been settled (like the ‘First Innings Lead’ market).
- If the match isn’t completed within five days of the original schedule, all bets are void except those already settled unconditionally (like the ‘Top Batsman’ market).
Limited Over Matches:
- These rules apply to all limited over formats, including One Day Internationals, Twenty20 internationals, domestic, and franchise leagues unless other rules are stated for a specific market.
- If the match is declared “No Result” by the umpires or governing body, all bets are void except those settled unconditionally (like the ‘Most Run Outs’ market) or where a minimum number of overs for a result was specified in the market details.
- If a new toss occurs on a reserve day for a limited overs match, all bets placed after 30 minutes before the original start of play are void, except for markets settled unconditionally (like ‘To Win Toss’) or where the market details specify otherwise.
Super Over Rule:
- This rule covers the market “Which team will win the Super Over?”
- The market will be in-play once HeyBaji is informed of the Super Over. Customers manage their positions as the market won’t be actively managed by HeyBaji.
- This market settles based on runs scored in the first Super Over. If tied, it’s a Dead Heat unless more than one Super Over is played, then it settles on the winner of the final Super Over. Tie-breakers like higher boundaries do not affect this market.
- Soccer
- These rules apply to all soccer competitions, series, and matches unless specific rules or market information apply.
- A Material Event significantly impacts a market outcome, such as a goal, penalty, red card, substitution, or venue change. If a market isn’t suspended in time before a Material Event, bets may be voided if placed after the event.
- If a match doesn’t start (or is reasonably assumed not to start) by 23:59 (local time) on the scheduled date, all bets are void unless rescheduled within three days.
- If a match starts but is abandoned or postponed and it’s believed it won’t be completed by 23:59 (local time) on the scheduled date, bets are void except for those settled unconditionally (like ‘First Goal Scorer’). If rescheduled within three days and played, bets stand unless restarted from the beginning.
Friendly Matches:
- For friendly matches, bets refer to the maximum duration of play including stoppage time. If not completed within three days, all bets are void except those settled unconditionally (like ‘Half Time/Full Time’).
- If there’s any doubt or dispute about the result, it will be determined reasonably using impartial sources like reputable media or official websites.
Official Fixture Changes:
- If official fixture details differ from what’s on the site (like team name or substitutes), all bets on those markets are void. In other cases, bets stand, including when a team name lacks ‘XI’.
Relegation Markets:
- Bets on which team will be relegated are settled based on the final league table’s relegation positions. If a team is disqualified or expelled for reasons other than relegation, bets are settled based on revised positions.
- If a team is deducted points leading to relegation, bets are settled as winners. This applies regardless of when the deduction occurs, as long as the final table reflects the relegation position.
Shirt Numbers:
- Bets are based on shirt numbers at the start of the match. Changes in shirt numbers during the match are irrelevant.
- Bets include shirt numbers of players scoring their own goals. A player without a visible number is allocated number 12.
Time of First Goal:
- Bets are based on the official match clock, ignoring stoppage or injury time. The first half is 45 minutes, the second half is 90 minutes unless stated otherwise.
- Time ranges for bets are divided into 10-minute intervals, e.g., ‘0-10 Minutes’ for the first 10 minutes of the match.
- Tennis
General Rules:
- These rules apply to all tennis betting unless a specific rule or market information dictates otherwise.
Player Withdrawal or Disqualification:
- If a player withdraws or gets disqualified during a match, the remaining player or team will advance to the next stage or win the tournament if it’s the final.
- If no more than one set has been played, all bets on that match will be canceled, except for markets that have already been decided, such as “To Win First Set.”
Tournament Changes:
- If a tournament is shortened, postponed, or canceled, bets on specific markets like aces or tie-breaks will be void, unless the market has already been settled, such as “Most Aces.”
- If there’s a change in venue or surface (e.g., moving from clay to grass), bets remain valid unless the market info indicates otherwise (like “To Win on Clay”).
- If there is a change in match format (e.g., from best-of-five to best-of-three), bets are void except for those markets that have already been settled (like “To Win Match”). However, this rule might not apply to specific markets like “Match Odds” or “Set Winner” in certain cases.
Individual Game or Set Bets:
- If a player withdraws or is disqualified during a game or set, all bets on that game or set and associated markets will be void, except for those markets that have already been settled (like “Game Winner”).
